What does the word ‘Church’ mean to you? Do you think of an old building, stained glass windows and an organ playing? Perhaps you think of peace, sanctuary, or maybe you think ‘boring,”old fashioned’ and ‘irrelevant.’ These are all images we might think of, but actually, the Church is not really any of these at all.
The Church isn’t the building. The Church is the people – the family of God – and whether they meet in buildings, homes, fields, – it doesn’t matter. It’s meeting together that matters.
If you’re looking for a new place to belong, come and visit us. We would love to get to know you and your family, and welcome you.
A New Creed
We are not alone,
We live in God’s world.
We believe in God:who has created and is creating,
who has come in Jesus,
the Word made flesh,
to reconcile and make new,
who works in us and others
by the Spirit.
We trust in God.
We are called to be the Church:to celebrate God’s presence,
to live with respect in Creation,
to love and serve others,
to seek justice and resist evil,
to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen,
our judge and our hope.
In life, in death, in life beyond death, God is with us.
We are not alone.
Thanks be to God.
