A recorded service will also be available after the Livestreamed service.

The Cordova Bay United Church sanctuary was filled with stuffed animals at the Nov. 19 worship service -- all for a good cause.
The stuffies were donated to the Compassionate Resource warehouse, which will include them in its shipments of goods to families in need overseas.
About 50 stuffed animals were donated in all.
To help send them on their way, the stuffed animals were blessed by Pastor Beth Parsons, McKinley and Maelynn Taylor, Pat Shumka and Leslie Moffat.

More than 80 people turned out Sunday afternoon Sept. 17 at Cordova Bay United Church for a special service to celebrate the new ministry and covenanting of Pastor Beth Parsons.
The service was a family affair thanks to the participation of Pastor Beth’s sons Steven and Jay, as well as husband Glenn.
Steven read the Opening Prayer. Jay sang The Beatles’ Let it Be, which was woven into Pastor Beth’s Minister’s prayer while Glenn played piano.
The service opened with church council co-chairs Laurie Mueller and Jiemei Li welcoming everyone. Joanne Thomas was the scripture reader and Rev. Mark Collins gave the reflection.
Sharon Prindle-Collins and the choir performed an anthem and led the congregation in singing.
Other covenanting participants included Carol Martin on behalf of the Pacific Mountain Region of the United Church, Willa Burke, Ron Childs, Ruth Schulz and Linda Snelling.
Following the service, Laurie Mueller presented Pastor Beth with flowers and a prayer shawl, and the Ethel Wilson Women’s Group provided cake and coffee in the church hall.

Every year Cordova Bay United Church supports the Angel Gift campaign for Our Place.
We provide gifts and Christmas greetings for those in Victoria';s inner city.
Often, these Angel Gifts are the only gifts Our Place members will receive at Christmas.
This year we have a goal of donating 75 gifts. To date we have committed to 60 gifts. Just 15 more needed to reach our goal!

More than 20 women turned out for Tuesday's Ethel Wilson Women's Group monthly meeting to hear Jessica Tuomela speak about her amazing life.
Jessica was accompanied by her guide dog Brandy.
Jessica has been totally blind since she was three due to retinoblastoma -- cancer of the eye -- and has had both her eyes surgically removed. The chemotherapy following her surgery left her deaf in one ear.
But these challenges have not stopped this amazing young woman from achieving great things.
Jessica is a four-time paralympian. She represented Canada as a swimmer in the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Summer Paralympian Games. In 2000, she brought home a silver medal in the 50-metre freestyle S11 Class when she was just 17.
She retired from swimming in 2008, but in 2016 came out of retirement to take up the sport of paratriathalon.
In 2019, she captured bronze at the Paratriathalon World Championships. In 2021 she represented Canada at her fourth Paralympic Games when she took fifth in Tokyo.
In addition to her sporting accomplishments, Jessica has excelled in school. She became a Registered Massage Therapist, then moved to Scotland and obtained a Diploma in Performance Psychology from the University of Edinburgh.
She then earned her Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California.
Jessica spoke to the women about the importance of "trust".
For instance, she must trust the opinion and guidance of others in so many things, like buying clothes. She must also trust her guide dog Brandy to not put her in danger.

The Cordova Cafe Book Sale and More was a huge hit Saturday as churchgoers and community members turned out in droves looking for that perfect book, purse, scarf and piece of jewelry.
Afterwards, they filled the church hall and enjoyed a coffee and homemade goodies.
This cafe served a dual purpose: helping neighbours meet neighbours while raising funds for the church mission.
In the end, the Book Sale and More raised over $2,100.
Thanks to the Caring Team and their host of volunteers for doing such a terrific job!
You are invited to Cordova Bay's newest cafe. Cordova Cafe runs once a month - on the second Saturday - from 10am - 12 noon in the Cordova Bay United Church hall.
The cafe offers free coffee, baked goodies and an opportunity for people in the neighbourhood to meet and chat.
Everyone is welcome - you do not have to attend Cordova Bay United.
The cafe is the church's way of helping to build community here in Cordova Bay.
So come on out to Cordova Cafe and get to know your neighbours.
